Southern Illinois University School of Medicine is launching a new OB/GYN practice in Decatur, creating a rare opportunity to join the founding team of a growing program that will become the community's primary destination for women's healthcare.

• Build Something Meaningful: Join the founding team of a new seven-physician practice created to meet a growing community need. With nearby labor and delivery units closing and several local OB/GYNs retiring, you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact while helping shape the future of women's healthcare in the region.
• Academic Opportunity: Join Southern Illinois University School of Medicine alongside experienced faculty with opportunities to mentor residents as the program continues to grow.
• Collaborative Practice: Work alongside experienced OB/GYN physicians with mid-level support while providing full-spectrum OB and GYN care. Maternal-Fetal Medicine support is available through SIU's Springfield campus when needed.
• Balanced Schedule: Enjoy a structured five-day schedule with approximately 24 patients per day. Physicians rotate one 24-hour in-house call shift each week followed by a day off, with dedicated clinic and OR time throughout the remainder of the week. The long-term goal is a sustainable 1:7 call schedule.
• Competitive Compensation: Base salary of 496,216-571,216, relocation assistance of 10,000-15,000, comprehensive benefits, malpractice coverage, and a faculty appointment with Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• MD or DO with completion of an accredited U.S. OB/GYN residency
• Eligible for Illinois medical licensure
• New graduates and experienced physicians are encouraged to apply
• J-1 and H-1B visa sponsorship available
• International Medical Graduates who have completed a U.S. residency are welcome to apply
