As a Regulatory Specialist, you will be responsible for verifying and approving new raw material suppliers, maintaining supplier documentation to meet regulatory and quality system requirements, and performing product analysis to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Verify and approve new raw material suppliers.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for suppliers, ensuring compliance with regulatory, food safety, and quality system requirements.
- Conduct shelf-life testing and product analysis to meet customer requirements.
- Assist in developing finished product specifications and labeling information, including nutrition facts panels, label statements, product claims, and claim substantiation.
- Manage customer and consumer complaints, maintaining data, generating reports, and coordinating with insurance carriers as needed.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department to ensure CAPAs are provided to customers when required.
- Manage Kosher certifications for products, acting as a liaison with Rabbis and certification organizations.
- Assist in responding to customer inquiries related to food safety and quality documentation.
- Participate in internal quality system, GMP, and food safety audits in cooperation with Quality Assurance.
- Support other departments as needed and perform related duties as assigned.
- Attend all company-required training sessions.
- Proficiency in regulatory affairs, FDA regulations, and compliance.
- Strong understanding of food quality and GMP standards.
- Experience in food safety and quality assurance.
- Familiarity with HACCP/FSMA and nutritional labeling requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Customer service oriented with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and possessing strong computer, math, and communication skills.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $52000.00/yr.
$1500 sign on bonus paid out incrementally
