BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Material Coordinator for an opportunity in Fairbault, MN
Position Title: Material Coordinator-Distro
Location: Fairbault, MN
Duration: 4 months
Shift: 1st shift, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $20/hr. on W2.
Job Description:
We are seeking a Material Coordinator-Distro to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in material handling, ERP-driven transactions, and warehouse operations and a proven ability to execute accurate, timely material movement to support production schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate material handling and delivery to production stakeholders.
- Define, improve, and uphold material handling process standards.
- Execute material transactions in Epicor (ERP) and maintain accurate system records.
- Read, comprehend, and follow SOPs for proper equipment operation and product handling.
- Interpret and act on production schedules in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Operate powered industrial vehicles within the plant.
- Read and process job travelers, pick lists, and system-generated workflow assignments.
- Clean, restock, and organize warehouse areas.
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- Two years of material handling experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent best-practice knowledge.
- Experience using an ERP system, preferably Epicor.
- Ability to read instructions, safely operate machines, and visually inspect raw materials.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated cross-functional teamwork.
- Ability to multitask, set priorities, and maintain attention to detail with sound organization and coordination.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend plant directives in English.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with powered industrial vehicles and warehouse safety practices.
- Familiarity with production scheduling and SOP-driven environments.
Additional Requirements:
- Perform simple mathematics to interpret process sheets, SOP manuals, and tally sheets.
- Frequent lifting, standing, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
- Adherence to PPE requirements, including eye, hand, feet, and hearing protection.
