Job Description
This role involves assembling window units and building wooden frames to prepare products for installation in homes. You will work either on a fast-paced assembly line, installing components and weather stripping and checking seals, or in the mulling department, constructing wooden frames using hand and power tools. The position is physically active, requires standing for long periods, and plays a key role in ensuring products meet quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Assemble window units by installing components and weather stripping according to specifications.
- Ensure all seals on windows are tight and secure, inspecting work for quality and accuracy.
- Use small hand tools to perform detailed assembly tasks on an assembly line.
- Work on a production line where each station depends on the previous one, maintaining steady workflow and productivity.
- Build wooden frames around windows in the mulling department so they are ready for installation in homes.
- Operate power tools and nail guns safely and efficiently to construct and secure wooden frames.
- Read and use a tape measure to ensure accurate measurements and proper fit of components.
- Follow all safety procedures when using hand tools, power tools, and nail guns.
- Stand for the full duration of a 10-hour shift while performing assembly or mulling tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle materials, packaging, and general production duties as needed.
- Collaborate with team members in the assembly area or work independently in the mulling department while meeting production goals.
- Perform general labor and construction-related tasks as required to support overall production.
- At least 6+ months of experience in assembly, construction, landscaping, packaging, or general labor for assembly roles.
- At least 6+ months of experience in construction, carpentry, or industrial assembly for mulling roles.
- At least 6+ months of experience using hand tools.
- At least 6+ months of experience using power tools for mulling roles.
- Ability to read a tape measure for mulling roles; tape measure reading skills are a plus for assembly roles.
- Comfort using hand tools, power tools, nail guns, and other basic construction or production equipment.
- Ability to stand on your feet for 10-hour shifts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production or general labor environment.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Background in construction, carpentry, general production, or general labor is highly beneficial.
- Experience with packaging, packing, or general production work is an advantage.
- Familiarity with using a variety of hand and power tools, including nail guns and tape measures.
- Ability to work both as part of an assembly line team and independently in a production setting.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements and high-quality finished products.
- Reliability and willingness to work extended hours during busy periods.

Work Environment
This is a first-shift role with hours from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the expectation of working overtime when needed, especially on Fridays. The work takes place in a production facility where you will stand for 10-hour days and perform repetitive tasks with hand and power tools. The environment can become warm during the summer months. You will receive two paid 15-minute breaks and one unpaid 30-minute lunch break during your shift. Safety glasses are provided and required while working, and ear protection is provided and optional. Steel-toed boots are not required; closed-toe tennis shoes or work boots are acceptable. The dress code requires jeans (no shorts) and does not allow cut-off shirts. The role involves working either on a collaborative assembly line or independently in the mulling department, using tools such as nail guns, tape measures, and other hand and power tools in a busy production setting.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
