Trial Attorney
Established (20+ Years) Premier Firm Seeking Trial Attorney - High stakes Litigation for Personal Injury Defense Litigation in Orange County, California.

We are seeking a Trial Attorney - Insurance Defense Litigation with demonstrated first chair trial experience to join their team in a hybrid work arrangement. This role is ideal for a courtroom-driven litigator who thrives on trying cases and taking ownership from inception through verdict. The position focuses on insurance defense litigation, including high-exposure personal injury, transportation, and complex liability matters, offering meaningful trial responsibility and strategic advocacy in a collaborative environment.

Salary range: $190,000-$250,000+ contingent on experience

Qualifications
7+ years of civil litigation experience with first-chair trial experience to verdict
Active California Bar membership in good standing
Strong courtroom presence with confidence handling juries, judges, and witnesses
Excellent legal writing, oral advocacy, and case strategy skills
Experience handling high-exposure insurance defense matters
Collaborative mindset with interest in mentoring junior attorneys
 
Responsibilities
Lead cases as first-chair trial counsel from inception through verdict
Develop and execute litigation and trial strategy on complex matters
Handle all aspects of discovery including taking and defending depositions
Draft and argue dispositive and pretrial motions
Manage pretrial proceedings, mediations, and settlement conferences
Communicate directly with clients regarding case evaluation and trial preparation
Mentor associates and contribute to a team-oriented trial culture
