Schedule: Mon - Fri | 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM | 1-Hour Lunch (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) | No Weekends | No On-Call
Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Hearing Aid Specialist to join our hearing healthcare team in Lexington, KY. This role is ideal for a licensed professional who is passionate about improving patients' quality of life through personalized hearing care and advanced hearing aid technology.
The successful candidate will perform comprehensive hearing evaluations, recommend appropriate hearing solutions, fit and program hearing devices, and provide ongoing patient education and follow-up care in a supportive, retail-based clinical environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive hearing evaluations using best-practice clinical protocols.
Assess hearing aid candidacy and recommend individualized hearing solutions.
Program, fit, verify, and adjust hearing instruments from leading manufacturers.
Educate patients on hearing loss, hearing aid use, maintenance, and long-term hearing health.
Perform hearing aid cleanings, repairs, troubleshooting, and follow-up appointments.
Maintain accurate and compliant patient documentation and clinical records.
Deliver exceptional patient service while building long-term patient relationships.
Collaborate with clinic leadership and team members to support operational success.
Participate in community outreach and hearing health education initiatives.
Stay current with advancements in hearing healthcare through continuing education.
Required:
Active Hearing Instrument Specialist (HIS) License or Audiologist License.
Active Kentucky Hearing Aid Dispensing License (or ability to obtain if applicable).
Strong communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to explain hearing healthcare concepts in a patient-friendly manner.
Preferred (not mandatory):
Previous experience in hearing aid dispensing or audiology.
Experience with hearing aid programming and verification systems.
Retail healthcare or patient-facing clinical experience.
Approximately 8-14 patients per day
Base Salary: $65,000 - $70,000
Monthly Performance Bonus
Typical Total Compensation: $90,000 - $95,000 annually
