Associate Attorney - Plaintiff, Toxic tort, Slumlord Habitabilit

Established (15+ Years) Premier Firm Seeking Attorney in Los Angeles, CA

An established firm based in Los Angeles, CA with over 15+ years in practice is seeking a Attorney with 1-10+ years of experience to join their team onsite. This Attorney will handle a high-impact caseload focused on toxic tort, mold, slumlord habitability, and personal injury matters on the plaintiff side, along with business defense litigation in state and federal courts.

 

Offer:

Salary range: $120,000-$350,000+, contingent on experience
Hybrid schedule available after six months, with one remote day per week

Qualifications:

1-10+ years of plaintiff civil litigation experience

Familiarity with toxic tort, mass tort, habitability, or personal injury matters is highly valued
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
Active California Bar admission in good standing
Demonstrated experience handling motion practice, written discovery, and depositions
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small-firm environment
Excellent oral advocacy and client communication skills

 

Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of plaintiff civil litigation matters from intake through resolution
Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
Propound and respond to written discovery
Take and defend depositions
Conduct oral argument in state and federal court
Develop case strategy in collaboration with senior attorneys
Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and trials, with opportunities to first- and second-chair jury trials
Provide ongoing legal counsel and case updates to clients throughout the litigation process
