American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with STEMI, vascular, and cardiac device experience for a 13-week travel contract in Raleigh, NC.
Details- Invasive Heart & Vascular unit within a hospital setting, focused on invasive diagnostics and interventional care for heart and vascular disease
- Handles both elective and emergent, minimally invasive cardiac and vascular procedures
- Experience required with STEMI, vascular procedures, cardiac devices (Impella, IABP), and complex IV drips including vasopressors
- Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, rotating days of the week
- 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts
- Weekday coverage runs 7:00 AM – 9:30 PM; weekend coverage runs 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, with after-hours on-call support
- Call rotation includes 1–2 weeknights per week and one call weekend every third weekend
- Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis
- Active RN license in North Carolina or a Compact RN license accepted
- Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC required
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
- Cath Lab experience required, including STEMI, vascular procedures, Impella, IABP, and complex vasopressor drips
- Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited nursing school required; BSN or MSN preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Provides clinical nursing care for patients undergoing invasive cardiac and vascular procedures, both elective and emergent
- Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team
- Performs bedside point-of-care testing and manages complex IV drip protocols as part of the patient care plan
- Anticipates and addresses discharge planning needs for patients with complex conditions
- Drug screen must be completed within 24 hours of commitment; allow at least 2 weeks for background check and drug screen results to be returned
