Position Details
  • Position: Endoscopy Technician (Endo Tech)
  • Shift: 4 x 10-hour day shifts per week with rotating call
Schedule and Requirements
  • Four 10-hour day shifts per week.
  • Rotating on-call coverage required.
  • Assists physicians and nursing staff during endoscopy procedures.
  • Must have an active Colorado DORA Surgical Tech Registration before submission.
  • Traveler's permanent residence must be 75+ miles from the facility.
  • CAPS registration is required before start (may take up to 2 weeks).
  • Resume, active Colorado DORA registration, and AHA BLS certification must be submitted with the profile.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy Technician experience.
  • Advanced Endoscopy experience is required.
  • Must be experienced assisting with high-acuity and complex GI procedures, including:
    • Polypectomy
    • Biopsies
    • Screening colonoscopies/endoscopies
    • ERCP
    • Esophageal dilations
  • Strong experience with endoscope processing, equipment troubleshooting, and procedure room setup.
Required Certifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS (American Heart Association).
  • Active Colorado DORA Surgical Tech Registration (Required).
  • Highly Preferred:
    • SGNA Associates or Advanced Associates Program
    • IAHCSMM Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) Certification
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and nursing staff during advanced endoscopic procedures.
  • Operate and troubleshoot endoscopy equipment.
  • Clean, disinfect, and process endoscopes according to protocol.
  • Prepare procedure rooms and ensure all equipment is available.
  • Stock procedure rooms with supplies.
  • Transport patients before and after procedures.
  • Assist patients with ambulation and dressing.
  • Apply EKG leads, blood pressure cuffs, and pulse oximeters prior to procedures.
  • Support efficient workflow during complex GI cases.
Additional Information
  • Only highly experienced Endoscopy Technicians with advanced case experience will be considered.
  • Traveler must live more than 75 miles from the facility.
  • CAPS registration is mandatory and should be initiated immediately due to processing time.
  • Agencies must ensure the candidate's SSN and DOB are accurate in Medefis to avoid onboarding delays.
