Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)\n\n
Job Description\nThe competent Registered Nurse practices independently in a cardiovascular operating room setting, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. The role entails providing both routine and complex nursing care with capabilities to support long-range goals and plans while managing contingencies of clinical nursing. This position involves the administration of medications and treatments, along with effective patient education.
\n\nResponsibilities\n- \n
- Utilize the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. \n
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. \n
- Administer medications and treatments according to appropriate protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness. \n
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided. \n
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers. \n
- Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers to manage clinical situations. \n
This position requires 4, 10-hour shifts from Tuesday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n- \n
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. \n
- A minimum of two years of experience in cardiovascular operating room nursing (CVOR) and EPIC charting experience required. \n
- RN License in the state of Texas or compact state. \n
- BLS certification (American Heart Association only) required. \n
This is a 13-week contract position.
