American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step-Down Unit position requiring ICU experience and the ability to float across multiple units in a hospital setting.
Details- 21-bed Step-Down Unit in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes NSTEMIs, post-cardiac cath with intervention, vascular surgery (fem-pop, CEA), CIWA with IVP Ativan, peritoneal dialysis, stable BiPAP, heated high-flow oxygen (<80%), home ventilators (Trilogy), and wound care
- Non-titrating drips in use, including Amiodarone, NTG, Cardizem, Lopressor, and Cardene
- Patient ratio of 1:4–5
- Floating required across Step-Down, ICU, and Med-Surg units
- EMR: Meditech
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- Orientation held every Wednesday
- Active SC RN license or compact license currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- ICU experience required
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Two references required for consideration
- PDF copies of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration
- Hemodialysis is performed in a separate Dialysis Department (not on unit)
- Royal blue and white scrubs required
