Location

The position is located at the Company’s headquarters in Vienna, OH. It is an on-site, non-hybrid role with a Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule


Summary: The Senior Staff Accountant will report directly to the Assistant Controller and will work closely with the Corporate Controller and Inventory Team, to ensure the proper Accounting policies and procedures are followed and to support the Company and SBU and its objectives, mission and values.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  1. Manages, communicates, and conducts behavior in direct support of company foundation and pillars*
  1. Ensures prompt and accurate closing process and compliant reporting procedures
  1. Responsible for the accuracy of the balance sheet
  1. Evaluate internal control systems
  1. Monitor and review balance sheet reconciliations
  1. Cost accounting responsibilities
  • Support the physical inventory counts and cycle count programs
  • Maintain and monitor standard cost for raw materials, labor and overhead
  • Prepare monthly inventory reconciliations
  • Review and analyze inventory transactions to ensure accurate costing
  • Ensure accuracy of bill of materials
  1. Maintain knowledge of a wide variety of prescribed accounting codes and classifications in order to select appropriate procedures for application to specific accounting transactions
  1. Assist accounting team with coding of various transactions
  1. Perform other duties as assigned

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook) and have the ability to learn new software programs as required.


Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in accounting from accredited college or university; and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Specialized Training:

No specialized training required.


Certificates and Licenses:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA), preferred.
