Radiologic Technologist / Rad Tech

-To assist the Cardiologists in performing invasive and diagnostic/interventional cardiac/vascular and electrophysiologic procedures as well as technical hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation using automated techniques.

-Providing care to meet patient needs and handle other duties as required and assigned.

Prepare patientsTake a patient's medical history, explain the procedure, and position the patient and equipment to take the image

Operate equipmentUse computerized and manual equipment to take images, such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, fluoroscopy, or sonography

Evaluate imagesReview the images to ensure they are clear enough for a doctor to diagnose

Document patient careRecord patient medical histories, enter patient data into computers, and maintain patient records

Communicate with patients and doctorsExplain procedures and test results to patients, and inform doctors of patient conditions

Protect patients and staffMinimize radiation exposure to patients and staff, and follow infection control policies

Assist with other tasksHelp with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and restocking supplies

Requirements:

• BLS, ACLS and ARRT Rlicense in state of assignmentrequired, minimum 1 years exp.
  
• Strong clinical, assessment, and communication skills.
