X-Ray Technologist

Sage Urgent Care is a new urgent care practice opening in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. We are building a patient-centered team focused on efficient, compassionate, high-quality care for the local community.

Role Overview

The X-Ray Technologist will perform diagnostic radiographic imaging in an urgent care setting and work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, medical assistants, and front desk staff to support smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic X-rays ordered by the treating clinician in accordance with applicable standards and protocols. Prepare and position patients for imaging while maintaining comfort, safety, and dignity. Use radiation safety principles and appropriate shielding practices. Review images for technical quality and communicate promptly with the clinical team when repeat imaging is needed. Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and imaging workflow. Assist with patient flow in a fast-paced urgent care environment, and keep a clean, organized, and safe imaging area.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited radiography program (or current radiography student nearing completion, where permitted). New Jersey radiologic technologist license or eligibility for licensure. ARRT certification preferred or eligibility to obtain it. Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach. Comfort working with both adult and pediatric patients. Urgent care, emergency department, orthopedic, or outpatient imaging experience is helpful but not required.

Schedule

Full-time, part-time, and per diem candidates may be considered. Clinic hours are expected to include daytime, evening, and weekend coverage.
