Position Overview:

The Hearing Instrument Specialist will provide comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluations, hearing-aid consultations, fittings, programming, verification, and follow-up care for primarily adult patients and occasional pediatric patients ages seven and up.

Practice locations are available throughout Queens, Brooklyn, and Long Island, with assignments based on provider preference and commuting distance whenever feasible.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct hearing evaluations within the scope of licensure
  • Recommend hearing aid technology based on each patient's hearing needs and lifestyle
  • Fit, program, adjust, and troubleshoot hearing aids
  • Provide counseling and ongoing follow-up care
  • Perform hearing aid cleanings, maintenance, and minor repairs
  • Take ear impressions as needed
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation
Requirements
  • Active New York Hearing Instrument Specialist license
  • Experience fitting and programming hearing aids
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Benefits
  • Salary plus bonus potential $150,000-$170,000
  • Flexible full-time and part-time schedules
  • Healthcare stipend
