Job Description
Brief Overview of Position:
Strategic Operational Solutions, Inc. (STOPSO) is seeking candidates for IT Help Desk Specialist roles to support the client where we are focused on delivering support to enable and maintain U.S. military operations with IT support services. This position requires onsite support at Joint Base Charleston, SC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support planning of IT equipment replacement (including technology refresh planning), software updates, and hardware updates/replacements/additions with unit leadership.
- Create, manage and maintain, grant/deny/remove user access, and close user, group, and local e-mail and network accounts, as needed for NIPR access in accordance with locally established processes.
- Manage user permissions to network resources, security groups, distribution lists, organizational boxes and network stored data structures as requested by proper authorities.
- Install and update software on desktops, laptops, tablets and smart phones. Software must be approved by the organization.
- Maintain secure Tactical Local Area Network Encryption (TACLANE) devices for SIPR enclaves. This includes swap out, labeling and accountability/inventory as described below.
- Maintain specific software IAW AFNOC and DAF or AFI requirements on NIPR/SIPR systems and associated VTC/SVTCs.
- Set up, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot SVTC equipment including accountability and inventory.
- Utilize Tanium and remediate CVEs found within devices that you manage.
- Administer unit SharePoint sites, including sub-pages. Manage permissions, provide SharePoint utilization advice, and provide technical solutions to maximize SharePoint effectiveness.
- Attend regular meetings that require IT presence or affect IT functions and act as subject matter experts, except as prohibited.
- Use the current ticketing system to submit communications work orders and trouble tickets as applicable.
- Perform all Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) functions as directed by your supervisor and the Wing Information Assurance Office.
- Perform all Cyberspace Infrastructure Planning System (CIPS) duties as directed by your supervisor and the Base Equipment Control Office (BECO).
- Maintain a Cyber Security Liaison (CSL) program within your assigned unit. This will include functions such as TEMPEST packages and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) waivers.
Minimum Qualifications / Requirements:
- Possess up to three (3) years' experience in an IT related field.
- Active IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security, GSEC, SSCP)
- Active SECRET clearance
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
Desired Qualification and Skills:
- Experience with ServiceNow ticketing System
- Experience supporting Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Internet Explorer, Java, and Adobe Acrobat
- Previous experience supporting a DoW IT environment preferred.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
- HDI Certification or ITIL 4 Foundation Certification
