Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic | Direct Hire Opportunity

The Greer Group has a great Direct Hire opportunity in the Winchester, Virginia area for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic !

This role is with a well-established and growing manufacturing organization with over 35 years of stability and growth, this is a great opportunity to join a team focused on safety, quality, and long-term success.

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for equipment setup, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of blow molding and/or injection systems, as well as other plant equipment. This role partners closely with production teams to ensure safe, efficient operations that meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform equipment setup, changeovers, troubleshooting, and repairs
• Conduct preventative maintenance on production equipment
• Ensure equipment is operating safely and meeting quality standards
• Respond to maintenance calls in a timely and professional manner
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues
• Perform building maintenance and support facility systems as needed
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on forklifts and related equipment
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and blueprints
• Repair and rebuild machine parts as needed
• Complete required testing and documentation
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all safety, quality, and compliance standards
• Participate in training and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required (trade school preferred)
• Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience
• Experience with injection molding or similar manufacturing processes preferred
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and control systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment independently
• Experience using CMMS or work order systems preferred
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Schedule:

1st Shift: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, 2 days on, 2 days off

2nd Shift: 7:00 pm - 7:00 am, 2 days on, 2 days off
