Position: Project Manager – Building Management Systems (BMS)
Location: NYC Metro Area
Compensation: $90,000–$150,000 (based on experience) + comprehensive benefits
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial Building Automation System (BAS/BMS) installation projects from kickoff through commissioning. This role is responsible for managing multiple projects, coordinating subcontractors and field teams, maintaining project budgets and schedules, and ensuring successful project delivery while building strong client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple BAS/BMS installation projects simultaneously.
- Coordinate subcontractors, project schedules, and field activities.
- Monitor project budgets, contracts, and overall project performance.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and sequences of operation.
- Collaborate with clients, consulting engineers, and internal teams throughout design, implementation, and commissioning.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Maintain project documentation and proactively resolve issues.
- Travel to project sites as needed (up to 25%).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
- 5+ years of project management experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS), Building Management Systems (BMS), HVAC controls, or related automation.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction and controls installation.
- Experience with DDC systems, electrical wiring, and control schematics.
- Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and sequences of operation.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with Automated Logic (ALC) controls is a plus.
