Procedure Scheduler

Position Summary:
The Procedure Scheduler is responsible for organizing, scheduling, and confirming interventional pain management procedures. This position plays a key role in ensuring a smooth experience for patients by communicating clearly, verifying insurance requirements, and collaborating closely with clinical staff and providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule and confirm all pain management procedures in a timely, accurate manner.
• Communicate pre-procedure instructions and preparation requirements to patients.
• Verify insurance coverage, obtain authorizations, and coordinate with referring offices.
• Work closely with providers and nursing staff to manage the daily and weekly procedure schedule.
• Update and maintain accurate information in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Manage scheduling changes, cancellations, and rescheduling requests.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience in a medical office or scheduling environment preferred.
• Experience in pain management or specialty scheduling strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes.
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Surgery scheduling experience preferred.
