Now Hiring: HDD Labourer to join our growing team

Location: Project Sites Throughout the United States (On-Site Position)

Vencer Drilling and Construction is seeking motivated and dependable HDD Labourers / Groundhands to join our growing team. This is a travel-based, on-site position requiring employees to work at project locations throughout the United States. Job site assignments are determined based on operational needs. This position is not remote.

As an HDD Labourer, you will play a vital role in supporting the drill crew by assisting with underground utility installations, maintaining a safe and organized job site, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities:

• Assist HDD Operators and Locators with daily drilling operations.
• Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment.
• Prepare job sites before work begins and restore work areas upon completion.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and light construction equipment.
• Assist with equipment inspections, fueling, cleaning, and routine maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work site.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
• Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
• Travel to assigned project sites as required.

Qualifications:

• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working on uneven terrain.
• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver's license required (CDL is considered an asset).
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States.
• Ability to work extended hours, overtime, weekends, and varying schedules as project demands require.
• Previous construction or underground utility experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience in telecommunications, fiber optic, or HDD construction is considered an asset.
