IHN Family Services Client Service Worker Job Description
Compensation: $21.50 – $23.00 per hour (Part Time)
Position Summary
IHN Family Services is seeking compassionate, dependable, and professional Client Service Workers to provide direct support and assistance to clients in home and community-based settings. The Client Service Worker serves as a vital link between clients, families, service providers, and agency staff by facilitating communication, assisting with client needs, and ensuring services are delivered with dignity, respect, and professionalism.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide direct support services to clients within their homes and community environments. • Assist clients with accessing resources, services, and support systems. • Attend and assist with client meetings, appointments, and service planning activities. • Facilitate clear and effective communication between clients, families, caregivers, and service providers. • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting. • Observe and report client progress, concerns, and changes in condition. • Support clients in achieving individualized goals and service objectives. • Promote client independence, dignity, and self-sufficiency. • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality. • Perform additional client support and service-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
• Previous experience in human services, social services, case management, caregiving, customer service, or related fields preferred. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. • Excellent organizational and time-management skills. • Ability to establish positive working relationships with diverse populations. • Professional demeanor with strong problem-solving abilities. • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when working with sensitive client information.
Work Requirements
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes and community locations. • Ability and willingness to work within client homes and various community settings. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to facilitate clear communication between all parties involved in client care and
services. • Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality regarding client information and agency operations. • Ability to demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and respect in all interactions. • Must successfully pass any required background screening and onboarding requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with children, families, seniors, individuals with disabilities, or vulnerable populations. • Knowledge of community resources, social service systems, and client advocacy practices. • Experience conducting client assessments, service coordination, or case management activities. • Bilingual abilities are a plus.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
This offer is contingent upon:

- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Completion of the IHNFS new-hire packet
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Participation in required training and orientation
PROBATIONARY PERIOD
All new employees are subject to a 90-day probationary period. Performance, attendance, and overall fit will be evaluated.

Employment with IHNFS is at-will, meaning either party may terminate employment at any time, with or without cause or notice.
