Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an obstetrics and gynecology hospitalist in Edenton, North Carolina, supporting a hospital-based practice. This locum tenens role involves inpatient clinical care, including vaginal and cesarean deliveries, within a small hospital environment.

Additional dates in October, November, and December
Delivery volume of 28-34 per month
Hospital privileges at a 25-bed community hospital
Inpatient clinical care only, no ICU responsibilities

Practice Environment

This hospital provides inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care with a low-volume emergency department and no ICU duties. Providers respond promptly to hospital calls, with a response time within 20 minutes. The facility supports vaginal and cesarean deliveries, with delivery volume averaging around 30 per month.

Requirements

• Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Current North Carolina medical license
• Active ALSO certification (if covering more than 6 months)
• Recent NRP certification (required for obstetric providers)
• Completion of the AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course within the last 2 years (if covering more than 6 months)
• Comfort with vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Willingness to respond promptly to hospital calls
