Support adult urology patients in a busy hospital environment with procedures including cystoscopy, stent placement, and kidney stone treatment.

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Pennsylvania-licensed urologists for a locum tenens opportunity at a 280-bed hospital. This role involves 24-hour call shifts, inpatient rounding, and procedural support within a hospital-based practice serving adult patients.

• Urology locum tenens support in a hospital setting
• 24-hour call shifts starting at 07:00, ending at 07:00 the next day
• Coverage on scheduled dates: 6/29/26 – 6/30/26, 7/22/26 – 7/24/26, 9/16/26 – 9/18/26, 11/18/26 – 11/19/26, 12/2/26 – 12/3/26
• Additional dates available if provider is unavailable for single days

Schedule & Coverage

• 24-hour call shifts starting at 07:00 and ending at 07:00 the following day
• Coverage on specified dates with potential for additional days

Clinical Scope

• Support adult urology patients in hospital setting
• Procedures include cystoscopy, stent placement, kidney stone treatment (laser lithotripsy/extraction)
• Management of torsion of testicle (rare), UTI, Foley catheter placement
• Rounding on inpatient setting in the mornings
• Collaboration with nursing, anesthesia, and emergency room staff

Practice Environment
This hospital features inpatient and outpatient services supported by nursing staff, anesthesia, and ER teams. Providers will utilize Cerner inpatient EMR and GE Centricity outpatient record systems. The facility manages a high volume of adult urology cases, with a focus on procedural support and inpatient care.

Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania medical license (Willingness to license: No)
• Urology Board Certified or Board Eligible with active certification process
• DEA registration
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience (preferred 2 years)
• Ability to obtain emergency privileges within 1-2 weeks

Rhino Medical offers a competitive call rate of $3,500 per shift, with callback compensation of $437.50 per hour. This assignment provides operational stability and the opportunity to support adult urology patients in a dynamic hospital environment.
