Practice Environment
Practice broad-spectrum Emergency Medicine within a physician-led Critical Access Hospital serving Martha's Vineyard year-round residents and seasonal visitors.

This is an excellent opportunity for Emergency Physicians who enjoy independent clinical decision-making while practicing in a collaborative community environment. Physicians manage a full spectrum of Emergency Medicine presentations across all age groups while benefiting from efficient patient flow, modern technology, and a manageable clinical pace.

Providers with previous community, rural, or Critical Access Emergency Medicine experience will find this practice particularly rewarding.

Clinical Practice

• Approximately 13,000 Annual Emergency Department Visits
• Approximately 20–24 Patients Per Day
• Approximately 2.5–3 Patients Per Hour
• All Ages Treated
• Approximately 14% Pediatric Volume
• Epic EMR
• Broad-Spectrum Community Emergency Medicine
• Physician-Led Practice Environment

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate, stabilize, and treat medical and traumatic emergencies
• Perform Emergency Medicine procedures within physician scope of practice
• Manage adult and pediatric emergency presentations
• Coordinate transfers when specialty services are indicated
• Collaborate with nursing and ancillary staff to deliver high-quality patient care
• Complete documentation within Epic EMR

Candidate Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified Emergency Medicine (ABEM Required)
• Active Massachusetts Medical License
• Massachusetts DEA Registration
• ACLS Certification
• Minimum One Year Emergency Medicine Experience
• Community or Critical Access Emergency Medicine experience preferred
