Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking West Virginia licensed MDs for a locum tenens position as a diagnostic radiologist in Charleston, West Virginia. This role involves interpreting a high volume of ER and inpatient imaging, with occasional outpatient cases, in a remote setting specializing in diverse modalities including XR, CT, MR, US, and Nuc Med.
Opportunity Highlights
- Diagnostic Radiologist locum tenens assignment
- Remote setting with subspecialty case mix
- Daily volume expectations: 90-100 studies
- Typical shift: 8 hours
- Focus on ER and inpatient imaging, including stroke cases
- Mixture of elective outpatient exams as needed
Schedule Details
- Coverage: Ongoing or as arranged
- Shift: 8-hour blocks, flexibility based on assignment needs
Clinical Scope
- Interpretation of emergency, inpatient, and select outpatient imaging
- Modalities: XR, CT, MR, US, Nuc Med
- Expert in stroke imaging and protocols
- Managing high-volume reading workload
- No in-person call required; primarily remote interpretation
- Accurate documentation and timely reporting within PACS/Reporting platform
Practice Environment
- Fully remote environment
- High-volume ER and inpatient setting
- Focused on fast-paced image interpretation with efficiency and accuracy
Requirements
- MD degree
- Active West Virginia medical license
- BC/BE in radiology
- Experience with high-volume ER and stroke imaging
- Comfortable with multiple imaging modalities
- Malpractice coverage included in pay rate
Preferred Qualifications
- Subspecialty training in neuroradiology or stroke imaging
- Prior remote teleradiology experience
- Familiarity with PACS reporting systems
