Pay Rate: $60,000 – $75,000/year
Manpower is partnering with a specialized manufacturing company in Watsonville, CA to hire a Production Planner / Scheduler II. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in production planning, scheduling, and manufacturing operations who wants to play a key role in supporting production flow and on-time delivery.
What is the Job:- Plan, schedule, and coordinate production throughout the entire manufacturing cycle
- Monitor production activities to ensure a smooth flow of materials and on-time delivery
- Work from engineering plans, BOMs, and production specifications to build schedules and capacity plans
- Adjust schedules based on material shortages, labor constraints, design changes, or production delays
- Maintain accurate production control records, including shipping and inventory transactions in ERP/MRP systems
- Support production operations through kitting, reporting, and documentation tasks
- Troubleshoot scheduling issues and follow up to ensure production stays on track
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and operations teams to improve workflow and efficiency
- High school diploma or GED required (AA degree preferred)
- 3–5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations
- Experience working with ERP or MRP systems
- Ability to read and interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs), blueprints, and technical documents
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word)
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, or industrial materials
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks as needed
- Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs
- Visual acuity required for reviewing documents, schedules, and production data
