Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• AA completion required.
Requirements:
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• No current placement allowed at Program: RightSourcing Program - UNC Health.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - At least one year experience in invasive procedures or 2 years relevant healthcare experience.
Required Credentials: - Associate’s degree (A. A.) or graduation from a cardiovascular related program required.
Preferred Credentials: - ARRT preferred. - Respiratory Care preferred.
Unit Details: - Documents history and physical assessment for patients undergoing procedures within the cath lab. - Explains procedures and treatments to patients to gain patient cooperation and understanding and allay apprehension. - Prepares patients for procedures by positioning and using appropriate equipment. - Operates diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast enhanced radiographs of the heart and cardiovascular system (angiocardiograms). - Operates a multichannel physiologic monitor to measure and record functions of the cardiovascular and pulmonary systems during cardiac catheterization. - Observes patients, records significant conditions and reactions, and communicates with the physician regarding patient condition, reactions to drugs, treatments, and other significant incidents. - Assists the physician in diagnostic and interventional procedures. - Provides technical assistance as needed.
Shift & Scheduling: - Rotating days of the week. - On-call: 1-2 weeknights and every 3rd weekend. - Holidays as needed.

• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or the alternative certifications RCIS, RRT
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• CI (Cardiac Interventional Radiography)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
