About the Position

Our client is seeking experienced CDL A Intermodal Drivers for local, no-touch container transport between rail yards and delivery locations. This long-term flexible assignment offers steady work, professional support, and opportunities to provide safe and reliable service to customers.

Pay & Schedule Details

• $38 per hour
• Additional $1 per hour with a Hazmat endorsement
• All straight-time pay; overtime is not included
• Approximately 40 hours per week
• Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday schedules available
• Start times may include 3:00 a.m., 5:00 a.m., or 5:00 p.m.
• Typical workdays are approximately 10–12 hours
• On-site, local position

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A vehicle on local routes.
• Pick up and deliver containers at rail yards.
• Perform drop-and-hook operations and properly lock down containers.
• Transport freight safely, on time, and in accordance with DOT and FMCSA standards.
• Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate logs and paperwork.
• Maintain open communication with dispatch and operations.
• Provide positive, safe, and professional customer service.
• Perform required handling and securement tasks.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable CDL A intermodal driving experience.
• Hazmat endorsement required.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
