Contract | Days or Nights (12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM–7:15 PM or 6:45 PM–7:15 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients with complex, actual or potential life-threatening conditions in an 18-bed ICU setting
• Perform invasive and non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring; manage patients with diagnoses including Sepsis, Acute MI, ARDS, stroke/TIA, seizures, renal conditions, and post-vascular procedures
• Titrate critical drips including vasopressors and sedation agents such as Levophed, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, and Insulin
• Manage ventilated patients via ET tube and trach, as well as BiPAP, CPAP, telemetry, and specialty equipment; independently read and interpret telemetry strips (no monitor tech on unit)
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2, with occasional 1:3 assignments for overflow or PCU downgrade patients
• Float as required to Stepdown, Med-Surg/Telemetry, or to care for boarded ICU or Stepdown patients in the Emergency Department on a rotational basis

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum two years of critical care (ICU) experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Prior travel nursing experience required; no travel duo assignments accepted
• Experience with CRRT and IABP
• Ability to titrate critical drips independently

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Impella experience strongly preferred
• PALS, NIHSS, and/or TNCC certifications preferred
• Experience caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Familiarity with lumbar drain management and management of patients on vasopressors and sedation protocols
