Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical, Nights (Travel)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit during overnight shifts
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients
• Accurately document patient information and care activities within the facility EMR system (Cerner)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating care as appropriate

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Alabama or a compact state
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required prior to start date
• Permanent residence located 50 or more miles from the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Cerner electronic medical records
• Previous travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
