This position supports a variety of financial and accounting tasks that help keep county operations organized and accurate. The Fiscal Officer 1 role assists with fiscal operations across nine Human Services programs. As a County Fiscal Officer 1, you will perform the following duties:
- General Ledger Work: Complete reconciliations and prepare journal entries
- Financial Tracking: Maintain fixed asset lists and update depreciation schedules
- Cash Management: Process transfers and monitor available funds
- Invoice Processing: Prepare, review, and verify vendor invoices
- Report Preparation: Compile recurring program and financial reports
- Policy Support: Assist with budgets, audits, and fiscal procedures
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Overtime and travel may be required.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years as a Fiscal Technician and six college credits in accounting; or
- Five years of bookkeeping experience and six college credits in accounting; or
- Three years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business related associate's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or
- One year of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelor's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting.
