Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to clients in various settings as needed.
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and document client health and behavior changes, reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Administer medication and follow care plans as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks.
- Support clients in developing social skills and participating in community activities.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care.
- Adapt to different client environments and needs, providing consistent quality care.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and training sessions to maintain knowledge and skills.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience in direct care or related field
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow care plans and document progress accurately
- Basic knowledge of health and safety standards
- Physical ability to assist with client mobility and personal care
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and situations
