Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)

Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Student requires support beyond traditional interpreting services

Responsibilities:

Provide sign language interpreting services throughout the school day
Facilitate communication between the student, staff, and peers
Support access to instruction, school activities, and educational programming
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
Assist in meeting the student's unique communication and educational needs

Requirements:

Active Sign Language Interpreter Certification/Licensure Required
Previous school-based experience preferred
Experience supporting students with complex or additional needs is a plus
Strong communication and teamwork skills
