Gen Ed Teacher - Minneapolis, Minnesota

Bachelor’s degree in Education, valid state Teaching license or certification, and 1+ years Teaching experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact as a general education English teacher supporting middle school students in an energetic and collaborative academic setting. This contract role offers the chance to help students develop critical language and literacy skills throughout the academic year, working closely with fellow educators to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.

Schedule & Assignment:

• Full-time, contract-based position from August through June
• 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
• Middle school general education English classes

Essential Qualifications:

• Active Minnesota general education teaching license
• Experience teaching English at the middle school level is highly valued
• Demonstrated ability to foster a positive classroom culture and adapt instruction for diverse learners
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency with curriculum planning
• Collaborative spirit for working with students, families, and school staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver daily English lessons aligned with grade-level standards
• Assess student progress and adapt instruction to meet varying needs
• Maintain a well-managed classroom that encourages student participation
• Support students’ academic and personal growth
• Collaborate with team members on curriculum development and school initiatives
• Communicate consistently with parents/guardians, providing meaningful updates on progress and classroom activities
