Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Multiple opportunities are available supporting elementary and middle school students in resource and special day class (SDC) settings. Contribute to close-knit educational communities, whether you prefer a part-time schedule or a full-time caseload.
Openings include:
- 40% elementary (2 days per week), maximum caseload of 12, hours 7:45 am–3:30 pm, with a 30-minute duty-free lunch
- 100% elementary split between two sites, maximum caseload of 28, hours 7:45 am–3:30 pm, with a 30-minute duty-free lunch
- 100% middle school resource specialist program, maximum caseload of 28, hours 8:15 am–3:30 pm, with a 30-minute duty-free lunch
- Two middle school special day classes, maximum caseload of 16, hours 8:15 am–3:30 pm, with a 30-minute duty-free lunch
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching credential for mild/moderate disabilities (or eligibility)
- Experience developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Ability to adapt curriculum and teaching methods to each student’s unique learning style
- Collaborative approach when working with support staff, families, and administrators
- Excellent communication and organizational talents
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students with varying academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals, tracking student progress regularly
- Foster a safe and inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation and growth
- Maintain accurate records and collaborate in staffing and parent meetings
- Communicate students’ progress and needs to families and colleagues
