Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a short-term acute care hospital in Hurricane, WV, requiring at least 1 year of OR experience and orthopedic surgical experience.

• Work in the Operating Room of a 70-bed short-term acute care, non-profit hospital in Hurricane, WV
\n
• Orthopedic surgical cases are a primary focus of this OR position
\n
• Nurse-to-surgical tech ratio of 1:1 or 1:2
\n
• Schedule is 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 6:50am–3:20pm
\n
• On-call required a minimum of 1–2 days per week and one weekend per month
\n
• Weekend shifts are on-call only; no scheduled weekend shifts
\n
• No floating required
\n
• Charting systems include Cerner, Omnicell, and Accudose
\n
• Free parking available for travelers
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active WV or compact RN license required (pending license accepted)
\n
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS
\n
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
\n
• Minimum 1 year of OR (Operating Room) experience required
\n
• Orthopedic surgical experience required
\n
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
\n
• Two manager or charge nurse references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
\n
• Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
\n
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); medical documentation from an allergist or physician required for exemption
\n

• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

• Former permanent employees of CAMC are not eligible to return as travelers until 2 years after their last day of permanent employment
\n
• No RTO restrictions
\n
• Orientation is held every other week on Friday
