Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist near Wendel, CA for the 2026-2027 academic year. Work collaboratively within a dedicated school-based team to help students achieve their communication and educational goals.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active California Speech-Language Pathology License
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • California Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Fingerprint clearance and completion of all district-required onboarding documents
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and contribute effectively to multidisciplinary teams

A Day in the Life:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy tailored to individual IEP goals and service minutes
  • Complete assessments in speech, language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic language
  • Evaluate, re-evaluate, and craft comprehensive written reports
  • Develop and update IEP goals, presenting findings during meetings with families and staff
  • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, psychologists, occupational therapists, and families on strategies and progress
  • Keep accurate records, service logs, progress notes, and, as required, Medicaid billing documentation
  • Consult on classroom accommodations and communication support for a variety of needs, including AAC devices
  • Support students with a range of diagnoses, such as Speech/Language Impairment, Autism, Specific Learning Disability, and more
  • Participate in multidisciplinary educational planning and meetings
