Special Education Teacher Job Description:
Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE)
• Provide specialized instruction and early intervention services to young children with developmental delays and disabilities.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's developmental and educational needs.
• Utilize developmentally appropriate instructional strategies that promote communication, social-emotional growth, independence, and school readiness.
• Collaborate closely with families, related service providers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
• Maintain compliance with all special education documentation, progress monitoring, and IEP requirements.
• Foster a nurturing, engaging learning environment that supports every child's growth and development.

Requirements:
• Active California Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Credential required
• Experience working with preschool-aged students and early intervention services preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
