Qualifications & Credentials:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Active California Speech-Language Pathology License
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- California Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential or eligibility to obtain
- Completion of fingerprint clearance and all district onboarding requirements
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not mandatory
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Proven ability to effectively manage caseloads and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services aligned with IEP goals for K-12 students
- Conduct assessments in speech, language, voice, fluency, and pragmatics
- Complete initial and triennial evaluations with comprehensive written reports
- Develop and monitor IEPs, presenting at meetings and updating progress as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, occupational therapists, and psychologists
- Document all services and maintain accurate records, including Medicaid billing when applicable
- Implement AAC devices and strategies for eligible students
- Consult with staff and families regarding communication supports and student progress
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary meetings and educational planning
