Work Environment

- Work is performed in office settings and on the patient care units that requires working in close quarters with other employees. High level of activity and confined space on the nursing units. Personal protective equipment is needed when entering isolation rooms. \n

Education/Experience
\nMinimum Required:
\n- \n
- Masters Degree from an accredited dietetics program (a bachelor's degree will be accepted for those who are grandfathered in based on the guidelines set forth by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (those who graduated with their bachelor's degree in an accredited dietetics program prior to January 1, 2024) \n
- Successful completion of a supervised practice program for nutrition \n
- Must be eligible to sit for the registration examination for Dietitians. \n
Preferred:

- Previous clinical experience in an acute care teaching facility. \n
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
\n- \n
- Eligibility for registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. \n
- Successful completion of the Registration Examination for Dietitians within 6 months of hire date. \n
- Obtains NYS certification as a dietitian-nutritionist (CDN) within 1 (one) year of hire or after passing the Registration Examination for dietitians. \n
