Work Environment
\n- \n
- All work is performed in the department which consists of the EP Lab. These rooms are air conditioned as well as heated, areas are occasionally subject to fumes. \n
- Delivery of services is through the use of radiation to produce images for physician diagnosis readings, and intervention on cardiac procedures. \n
- Standing for long periods. \n
- PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by UHS Hospitals Infection Control policies. \n
- Lead protection devices, barriers, gloves, lead glasses, shields, and aprons must be worn per radiation safety policies. \n

\nEssential Functions:
\n Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that are performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

Provides technical support for all EP Lab procedures to include: structural heart procedures, temp pacemaker insertion, Implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) implantation, and ablations.
\n - \n
Responsible for technical support and clinical assistance, both sterile and non-sterile, of procedures including: structural heart procedures, temp pacemaker insertion, Implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) implantation, and ablations.
\n - \n
Operates required advanced imaging equipment using established guidelines and imaging protocols for interventional and non-interventional patient procedures.
\n - \n
Ensures proper safety standards are met and radiation safety practices are adhered to.
\n - \n
Instructs students and residents and performs preceptor duties when necessary.
\n - \n
Performs quality assurance checks on equipment.
\n - \n
Assists in maintaining supply inventory for all EP Lab procedures.
\n - \n
Demonstrates working knowledge of UHS information systems.
\n - \n
Demonstrates knowledge of coding procedures for accurate billing of all EP Lab procedures
\n - \n
Learns new techniques and technology by attending lectures, seminars, and educational readings.
\n

Education/Experience
\nMinimum Required:
\n- \n
- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology \n
- One(1) years of experience in full services hospital as a Radiologic Technologist. \n
Preferred:
\n- \n
- Previous experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a EP Lab \n
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
\n- \n
- New York State license as Radiologic Technologist \n
