American Traveler is hiring a Chemo Certified Oncology RN for a day shift, 13-week travel contract at an outpatient clinic setting in Illinois.
Details- Outpatient oncology clinic setting
- Oncology unit with a focus on chemotherapy administration and patient education
- Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- 13-week contract
- Active IL RN license required
- Chemotherapy certification required
- Oncology nursing experience required
- All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
- Assess and address clinical, emotional, spiritual, psychosocial, and financial patient needs
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatments, side effects, adverse reactions, and reportable signs and symptoms in alignment with multidisciplinary care plans
- Coordinate discharge planning with patients, families, social workers, home nursing staff, oncologists, and physicians to ensure instructions are understood and followed
- Participate in multidisciplinary consultations and tumor conferences, and document resulting recommendations
- Contribute to the development of patient education materials, clinical pathways, and quality studies
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
