A Snapshot of Your Day
Your day may start by
being assigned tasks to be worked during your shift. Once you have your task,
you will need to follow proper time tracking procedures and study engineering
drawings, work instructions, and work production for your tasks. Always keeping
safety in mind, work on your own or in a team on the tasks assigned to you.
Report any issues to the management team. At the end of your shift, you will be
expected to clean and organize your work area.
How You’ll Make an
Impact
- Assemble mechanical and electrical components for
exciter units according to
engineering drawings, work instructions, and production schedules.
- Set up and
operate various hand tools, power tools, and specialized assembly
equipment to build and process parts.
- Follow standard operating procedures to ensure
consistency and quality in all assembly
tasks.
- Perform in-process inspection of parts and assemblies
using measurement tools like
calipers to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting of Exciter assembly or
equipment issues, applying
standard procedures to resolve them.
- Maintain accurate production records and perform
necessary data entry for
manufacturing performance analysis.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED required
- Vocational or technical training in a mechanical or
electrical field is preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or
production assembly environment.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprint,
schematics, or technical work instructions.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in
the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored
work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship
may be eligible for internal transfers.
