LPN - Pediatric Home Care

Job Summary
BrightStar Care Gainesville is seeking an experienced Pediatric LPN to provide 1:1 private duty nursing to a child in their home. This role offers a consistent one-on-one patient assignment with the same family.

The Schedule
Multiple shifts available:

• Monday–Thursday: 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Monday: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Wednesday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Thursday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Shift availability may vary — talk with your recruiter about which options are currently open.

ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll Be Doing
You will serve as the primary skilled nurse for a medically complex pediatric patient in their family home. Typical responsibilities include:

• Delivering 1:1 skilled nursing care for a child with complex medical needs
• Managing G-tube feedings, medications, and site care with confidence and precision
• Executing physician-ordered plans of care within LPN scope of practice
• Monitoring, assessing, and responding to changes in patient condition
• Completing thorough shift documentation — all charting is done during your shift, not after
• Communicating consistently with your RN supervisor and the broader care team
• Building a trusted relationship with the patient and family

Required SkillsWho We're Looking For
This role is designed for an LPN who already has pediatric nursing experience.
Required:

• Active Florida LPN license (or compact license valid in FL)
• Minimum 1–2 years of pediatric nursing experience — facility, home care, or clinical setting
• G-tube experience required
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Valid Florida driver's license and auto insurance
• TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframe

Preferred:

• Prior private duty or home health nursing background
