Join the Customer Operations team supporting Symbotic’s automated material handling system. You’ll monitor the environment, guard safety and quality, and keep production on track by resolving issues and escalating the right details to the right experts—fast.
What you will do- Uphold OSHA, Symbotic, and customer safety standards every shift.
- Track real-time system performance and personnel/robot availability.
- Coordinate with the customer to schedule work, release orders, and process receipts.
- Triage faults and stoppages; choose recovery steps that protect uptime.
- Work with off-site Symbotic software engineers and on-site leaders to tackle software concerns.
- Command the system through a dedicated GUI, ensuring correct and safe operation.
- Align production plans and maintenance windows with technicians and the Automation Manager.
- Record major events meticulously; build expertise in how subsystems interact and impact one another.
- Analyze robotic vehicle failures via logs; document findings and alert service personnel promptly.
- Support and train peers in troubleshooting and basic repairs consistent with your training level.
- Engage tiered support channels to sustain throughput.
- Handle additional tasks as assigned by leadership.
- 1+ year in a computer or automation environment (desired).
- Ability to guide daily standard work for others.
- Detail-forward communicator with clear written and verbal English.
- Motivated to learn new systems and help teammates.
- Open to constructive feedback and recognition.
- Comfortable multitasking at pace.
- Operate with urgency and accountability.
- Frequent stair climbing; routine proximity to high railings.
- Temperature variation indoors from 105°ree; to 32°ree; Fahrenheit.
- Construction sites require PPE: hard hat, safety vest, steel toes, eye/ear protection, and fall protection (e.g., harness).
- Lift up to 50 lbs safely and move items up to 80 lbs.
- Stand/walk 10–12 hours; frequent reaching.
- Work at heights up to 45 ft and in spaces as tight as 24 in; ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Capable of frequent/continuous sensing, seeing, hearing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, balancing, gripping, climbing, crawling, sitting, handling objects, and repetitive motions of hands/feet.
- Comply with Lockout/Tagout and fall protection protocols and all safety requirements.
