Responsible for the day-to-day function of the milieu. Works in collaboration with the clinical department and nursing to ensure all campus needs are met. Provides support, problem solving and feedback to help ensure that all staff and clients are following the daily program schedule and meeting daily goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Milieu Manager at CGA is responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operations to ensure high-quality care in a safe, structured environment for clients. This role provides leadership and direction to direct care staff, shift supervisors, shift leaders and ensures that all activities and services align with the programs mission and therapeutic goals. The Milieu Manager oversees staffing schedules, supervises and trains staff, oversees events, and ensures compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Provide direct supervision to direct care staff, shift supervisors, and other essential operational staff.
    • Conducts regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and set performance goals for direct care staff.
    • Ensure all staff receive proper training in safety protocols, therapeutic practices, and organizational policies.

o Member of the CGA Management Team

  • Staff Scheduling and Coverage
    • Oversee and manage the staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and continuity of care for all shifts.
    • Manage staff absences, ensuring quick solutions to maintain staff-to-client ratios and uninterrupted client care.

o Coordinate with Human Resources for recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff as needed.

  • Program and Event Management
    • Plan, organize, and oversee events, daily activities, and special programming within the program to support client treatment goals.
    • Collaborate with clinical and therapeutic teams to align programming with treatment objectives and create an engaging environment for clients.
    • Ensure that events are appropriately staffed and that all resources are available for successful execution.
  • Training and Development
    • Implement and manage training programs to ensure staff proficiency in client care, crisis intervention, and other relevant areas.
    • Develop ongoing professional development opportunities, including workshops and certifications to enhance staff skills and compliance.
    • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, staff certifications, and professional development and ensure documentation is provided to HR.

o Responsible for evaluations and competencies of all Milieu staff.

· Policy Compliance and Quality Assurance

o Ensure all operations comply with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards, including health, safety, and privacy guidelines.

o Implement quality assurance initiatives, conducting regular assessments to monitor and improve client care and operational efficiency.

  • Review incident reports, feedback, and data to identify areas for improvement and make necessary operational adjustments.
  • Budget Management and Resource Allocation
    • Work with leadership to establish budgets and monitor expenses to ensure cost-effective operations.
    • Manage resource allocation, including supplies, equipment, and facility needs, to ensure a well-functioning and safe environment.
  • Crisis Management
    • Act as a primary contact for handling critical incidents, including client behavioral escalations and emergency situations.
    • Ensure all staff are trained and prepared to respond to crises effectively and in line with organizational protocols.
    • Communicates with and seeks guidance from Executive Director involving all cases involving potential risk with external stakeholders.
