Job Title

Travel RN – Medical Surgical (3x12's - Days)

Location

Lafayette, Indiana

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Days | 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 16-bed Observation/Med-Surg unit with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Care for a diverse patient population including short-stay, ambulatory, pre-surgical, chest pain rule-out, and IV antibiotic patients
• Utilize unit equipment including bladder scanner, EKG machine, vein light, and vital signs machine
• Document and manage patient records using Epic EMR
• Work 4 weekend shifts every 6 weeks in addition to standard scheduled shifts
• Float to Med/Surg like units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN Licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Strong communication skills with a team-oriented, flexible, and reliable work style

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Ability to interpret EKG readings
• Prior charge nurse or leadership experience
• Experience with Epic EMR
