Job Title

Registered Nurse – Neuro/PCU (Stepdown)

Location

Lancaster, SC

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Neuro/PCU stepdown setting with patient ratios of 1:4–5
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and neurological assessments for assigned patients
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic electronic health records
• Float within scope to meet unit needs, including like units or sister facilities as required
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November) as directed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a Neuro/PCU or comparable stepdown setting
• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Demonstrated telemetry competency required
• No first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic charting system
• Flexibility to accommodate varying schedules to meet unit staffing needs
• Familiarity with stepdown or intermediate care unit workflows and protocols
