Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days, 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | On-call required (up to 4 call shifts per 4-week period) | Up to one weekend shift per 4-week period | Holiday work required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub and circulator roles across a broad range of surgical specialties including Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics
• Deliver direct patient care within a high-volume, Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated operating room environment
• Utilize EPIC for clinical documentation and charting throughout all phases of surgical care
• Float within scope to meet facility needs across like units as required
• Participate in on-call coverage and respond to emergency surgical needs as assigned
• Contribute to emergency response team activities during hurricane season (June through November) as required

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (SC license must be active prior to start)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Radiation badge compliance (provided by agency)
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience strongly preferred; first-time travelers considered
• Experience within a Level I Trauma Center environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Scrub experience in the operating room setting
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records system
• Experience in a Magnet-designated or academic teaching facility
