Experienced Medical Billing Specialist

NEAD Health - Diabetes Nutrition is seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to support a fast-paced, high-volume practice. This is an in-office position in Woodlands, TX, and the salary range is based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Manage medical billing for a high-volume clinic, including 50-100 claims per day
• Review documentation and coding for claim accuracy before submission
• Submit electronic claims and track claim status
• Handle claim follow-up, rejections, denials, and appeals in a timely manner
• Post payments and EOBs accurately
• Communicate with patients regarding billing questions and balances
• Support front office operations as needed, including answering phones, scheduling, and insurance verification
• Help improve billing workflows by identifying issues and resolving them efficiently

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of recent medical billing experience in a physician practice or clinic setting is required
• Experience using eClinicalWorks is a plus!
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus
• Experience with insurance verification and appointment scheduling
• Experience in gastroenterology, endocrinology, diabetes care, or another specialty practice
• Hands-on experience with claim submission, payment posting, denial management, and appeals
• Strong understanding of EOBs, insurance follow-up, and revenue cycle workflows
• High attention to detail and ability to manage a large daily workload accurately
• Professional, patient-friendly communication skills
• Reliable transportation and ability to work on-site in Shenandoah / The Woodlands, TX
